Internationalisation
I got some thoughts in mind nowadays. On the project that I'm working on now we are starting international support. I think that we can have that also in Viva.
There are a variety of reasons. I'm going to list them here:
1. First reason that I support internationalisation in Viva is that we all(almost) are living in a foreign country and some of us have been in more than one countries. What's more, we all have many friends(or contacts). This can
be interesting for the future of Viva and that's why I am for the internationalisation.
2. Another reason is that we want to support the educational institutes as far as possible. That means, there are some challenges to face on almost every institutional organisations. A very nice example for tahat is the number of exchange students on the universities, who sometimes lack of knowledge of local language, especially on the non-english speaking countries. It can be very hard to understand and use the system in such cases. That is again the point to support multiple languages. Of course we can not support all the languages on the earth, but we can support some popular ones.
3. The third reason is that it is really simple to implement. If we want to support another language, we just need to add a file and a couple of lines of code to support new languages. This enables a loose coupled internationalisation module, which enables to make services that we offer becomes accessible from other locations. Of course this is a plan and does not have an official need of support, but I think that it can bring the project further on professionality. That possibly reduces the maintanence times of the system.
There are also some others, but these are the most important ones for now. I still did not begin developing but it I still have thoughts which can suport us.
Best wishes,
Altug

Viva la Viva!!!
Hi all,
As I mentioned here, I had some ideas and these ideas lead today to a new restart. The new drafts of Viva ERM Portal will be probably on the way in a reasonably short amount of time. But the main problem still remains unsolved: time.
The kickoff meeting today was a really nice one. Besides having some interesting dialogues, we decided to start with the development of the Viva again.
The process began today with thinking and writing down new ideas and of course the old ones. The first step is personal module.
We also have someone new: Sadik from Ireland, welcome ;-). Probably someone else can also be with us in a short time, but now it’s a little bit too early.
So, making the long story short, we are on the way again. Hope a better start this time ;)
